Second scan yesterday went very well.
Turns out I have 12 follicles (a dozen potential eggs - cluck cluck)! They are all around 17mm, and retrieval is on Monday. Last Gonal-F shot this morning, trigger shot tonight....then NO MORE SHOTS!
Yay! So, so excited.

Ouch!
Had my second scan yesterday, all looking good, follicles around 11-14mm, next scan tomorrow morning. Bit of a drama with the C.etrotide. They ran out (delivery problem for the first time in 5 years) - just my luck! So I had to take the super charged 3ml 4 day in one injection version this morning. All I will say is OUCH. I suppose the bright side is - no more of those injections now!
I haven't spoken a lot about how I've been feeling during this cycle. Truth is, I have felt absolutely fine. I have some 'growing pains' on my ovaries - nothing too bad. Injections have been a breeze. One evening of slight nausea, but other than that, surprisingly easy. While this is great news, in the back of my head I'm hoping it continues this way, as I know it's early days!
Had my first wobble last night - went out for dinner with my dad. He has just been sick so I haven't seen him for a week or so. He wanted to go out for dinner and bring his girlfriend. I specifically asked him if they are both well. He insisted yes. I told him how important it is for me not to get ill right now. Turns out she is SICK. Like, she had even been to the doctor that day and he knew it. I was LIVID. I still am. He knows how important this is.
Tell me, did you guys also feel like nobody understands how important and how difficult this is when you went through IVF?

Day 7
My FS is from Europe, so when I asked him how many follicles he'd like to see, I couldn't really make out what he said.
I asked again. He said 'Ten, ten would be ideal"
Great, I thought to myself, why did I ask? Better not to know, surely?
I hopped up on the table, I only ever wear dresses to my appointments (saves time - and dignity!)
I looked at the screen. And then I realised - I have no idea what I'm looking at - I have never seen follicles before! I swear, I hardly breathed while I heard him count under his breathe....1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6..... and then to the left side..... 7, 8, 9, 10.....11!!
Eleven follicles!!
"A perfect start" He said.
I joked: "Doctor, no pressure, but I like a perfect ending too". He laughed, and agreed.
I am so happy, so relieved. I have read all the horror stories with some women not responding, or even worse, with P.COS like me - overstimulating. For once, my reproductive system responding as it's expected to!
G.onal F dosage lowered, C.etrotide injection began straight away to suppress natural ovulation (all follicles around 10-11mm in size). Woohoo, I have been upgraded to two injections per day since yesterday.
Next scan tomorrow morning.

...of injections done, first scan tomorrow morning. Excited and nervous. Hope all is OK as I haven't felt any pain and no side effects (yet).
